The Course
Designed by renowned architect Robert Trent Jones Jnr, Club de Golf Alcanada’s stunning 18-hole golf course opened for play in 2003 and has since gone from strength to strength and is now generally regarded as one of Spain’s best golf courses. Situated in the northeast corner of the Mediterranean island of Mallorca, Alcanada boasts an enviable seaside location, with a 6.571-meter layout that blends seamlessly into the beautiful Majorcan countryside. The course hosted The Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A later that same year, and again in 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025. The HotelPlanner Tour’s flagship event will return to Alcanada once again in 2026, where DP World Tour hopefuls will hope to follow in the footsteps of previous winners at Alcanada, Franceso Laporta, Nathan Kimsey, Marco Penge, Kristoffer Reitan and James Morrison. It’s not just the top-class golf course on offer at Alcanada though. With Toptracer technology installed on the driving range, tuition available at the Alcanada Academy, and a state-of-the-art Tagmarshal system ensuring a smooth pace of play on the course, fantastic facilities and exceptional attention to detail round off the Alcanada experience. During your round be sure to take a break at our “Lighthouse Bar”, and after your round enjoy a delicious meal and a well-deserved drink at the restaurant, which boasts a beautiful terrace that offers amazing panoramic views out over the Bay of Alcudia.
The Mediterranean Golf Experience
The Alcanada golf academy, run by head professional Joan González Camarero-Nuñez, offers custom golf learning and training programmes. Hourly lessons, quick-fix or week-long programmes, TaylorMade club fitting, golf rules and etiquette, individual or group lessons may be arranged.
Stylish golf clothes in a beautiful setting: a 400-year old building with typical Mallorcan stone walls. The shop is spread over 150m2 in architecture reminiscent of a wine bodega; it is stocked with the highest quality golf clothes that remind you of where you are: Alcanada Golf Club reception and shop.
